  • Graduated from Iola High School in 1981.
  • Attended Allen for two years then transferred to Pittsburg State University.
  • Graduated from Pittsburg State University 1985.
  • Graduated from Pittsburg State University 1987.

Degrees and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from Pittsburg State University 1985.
  • Master's Degree from Pittsburg State University 1987.

Current Position:

This will be my 35th year of teaching in Iola.  I have taught second grade, transitional first grade, a first/second grade split class and first grade.  My first year of teaching was at Jefferson Elementary.  The next 29 years were at McKinley Elementary.  With the new elementary attendance centers in 2015, I am back at Jefferson.
