The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of South Central Kansas and all of Southeast Kansas, including the following areas: In South Central Kansas: Butler and Cowley. In Southeast Kansas: Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson. * Until 10 AM CDT this morning. * Thunderstorms will persist across southeast Kansas this morning then begin to back build as far west as Butler and Cowley counties. The thunderstorms would continue to train across these areas along, and southeast, of a nearly stalled front. With grounds already soaked, further flooding and flash flooding would likely occur quickly. * An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are likely with the greater amounts in Southeast Kansas with a band of 2 to 4 inches likely where echo-training occurs. This could cause very significant flooding and a possible flash flood emergency situation.
